Annual Appeal

Art for All: Free for All

Thank you for your ongoing support of the Lancaster Museum of Art. The dedication of our members and supporters has been – and continues to be – a sustaining force that has carried the Museum for 45 years. Your involvement demonstrates that you support the Museum’s mission to explore, educate and present traditional and innovative art forms to the community and its visitors.

This year more than ever, join with hundreds of other like-minded friends and pledge your continued support through our 2011 Annual Appeal Campaign: Art for All: Free for All. Together, we can have a measurable impact on the effect the arts have on the social and economic well-being of the community we proudly serve.

Why Support the Museum’s Annual Appeal?

Membership dollars and overall sponsorships go a long way in helping us meet the expenses of the Museum. However, in a challenging economy, it is more important to fill any gaps in funding that quite literally can mean the difference between our ability to sustain our mission or make cuts to our exhibitions and programming.

As one of the largest cultural organizations in Lancaster, we are in the position to ensure that the quality of visual arts programming is second to none in our region. We are proud to serve as a venue where local and national, emerging and professional artists can share their talents with the Lancaster community and its visitors. Because we believe in the importance of art and that art should be available to everybody, regardless of economic circumstances, we do not charge admission.

You can help us reach our goal of $20,000!

What Does My Gift to the Annual Appeal Ensure?

Your gift, combined with the gifts of hundreds of others, ensures that we are able to maintain a level of programming expected from an institution named by the Lancaster County Community Foundation as one of seven Keystone Arts Organizations in Lancaster. In the coming months, the Museum is proud to bring artists of local, regional and international stature to our community. In November, the Trees Galore holiday tradition continues; in 2012 we maintain our commitment to young artists through the Scholastic Art Awards and in the spring welcome Rafael Ferrer, an internationally known Puerto Rican artist. Lectures, trips and workshops compliment our exhibitions – there is something for everyone at the Lancaster Museum of Art.
