Past Houses of Light:
Richard Kent

Richard Kent will present a series of gelatin silver prints documenting his study of greenhouses in the exhibit Past Houses of Light - Family Run Greenhouses in the 2nd floor Hartman Gallery. Kent, an Associate Professor the Department of Art and Art History and Asian Studies Program at Franklin & Marshall College, has been photographing abandoned or neglected greenhouses since 1993. His series of photographs documents a form of architecture, wooden and glass greenhouses, that is quickly disappearing from the eastern United States. Once he has discovered a site, he tracks it for several years, until whatever structures that had been present have vanished. Kent places particular attention on documenting a site as it reverts back to undisturbed nature or, more commonly, as it becomes a place for something else.

Froggy and More:
Frank Remkiewicz

Froggy and More features a delightful collection of original illustrations in a variety of media including: watercolor, gouache, collage and colored pencil.
