The Artful Teapot exhibit explores how the teapot–a nearly universal domestic item–can be used as a vehicle for artistic expression. The exhibit features a small selection from the Thorn collection and includes one-of-a-kind modern creations, mass produced teapots, and everything in between. Many of the teapots on display are true works of art and sculpture. The Artful Teapot exhibit highlights how the teapot can be provocative, playful and has the ability to be more than just a device from which to serve tea.

Brown selected Jozef Bajus, Snyder, NY; Nicole Baumann, Richmond, VA; Ed Bing Lee, Philadelphia, PA; David Chatt, Seattle, WA; Jennifer Jenkins, Savannah, GA; Lisa Klakulak, Asheville, NC; Maria Kovacs, Livermore, ME; Meredith Ré Grimsley, Bloomsburg, PA; Shannon Weber, Cottage Grove, OR; and Patricia Wheeler, Deer Isle, ME to receive $200 awards.
