Lancaster Museum of Art
Executive Director

Lancaster Museum of Art seeks a Director/CEO to develop/execute artistic vision and curatorial exhibitions/programs; lead staff and volunteers; secure/negotiate artists’ contracts and installation of all exhibits; prepare the budget/financial statements; and maintain the LMA mission and level of involvement in the community. This involves implementing educational outreach and media relations efforts, and fostering relationships with local galleries, civic associations, principal donors and other supporters. The Executive Director will also play a leading role in the museum’s capital campaign for the expansion.

Ideal candidates will possess an advanced degree in Art History, Fine
Arts, Museum Arts/Arts Administration, or Humanities and 8-10 years
of experience in managing a museum or other cultural organization.
Excellent verbal, written, and group presentation skills are essential, along with a personal and diplomatic approach in achieving results.

Membership Coordinator

It is an exciting time for the arts in downtown Lancaster! The Lancaster Museum of Art is seeking a team player to fill a part-time position in the development department. The successful applicant will be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and have experience or willing to learn the donor based software system “Donor Perfect”. This position will also support other areas of fundraising as needed.
A background in development is preferred and experience working in a nonprofit organization is also a plus. This position may lead to fulltime. Weekend Receptionist

Weekend Receptionist position available. Responsibilities include: providing information for visitors, clerical assistance, periodic moving of art work and retail sales during the hours of Saturday 9:30 am-4:15 pm and Sunday 11:45 am-4:15 pm.
