*Unless otherwise noted, adult classes DO NOT include the cost of materials. Materials lists are available from the Museum.
Classes must have a minimum of 5 students to run.If this minimum enrollment is not reached 5 days prior to the first class session, the class will be canceled and tuition will be refunded.

Drawing I - Participants will develop drawing skills working with guided instruction while exploring color theory, texture, composition, light/shadow and negative/positive shape using pencil, charcoal, pastels, chalk
and ink on paper. Ages 18+

Begining Pastels - Participants will learn and explore a variety of basic techniques of applying pastels through strokes, optical color mixing, blending,
and layering. Demonstrations, drawing fundamental reviews and encouragement will be given to help students advance their skills and further understand value & texture. Types of pastels, color choices, support, fixing and framing of work will
be discussed.

Painting Workshop - Explore the world of paint! For the beginner with limited experience, or the intermediate who just needs a little coaching, these studio sessions are for everyone! Participants can learn basic concepts
and techniques of painting media, build on fundamentals or advance their own skills. Enjoy the relaxing freedom of creativity and the guidance of an instructor near by, a wonderful experience for sharing and learning!

Beginning Ceramics
Learn to make functional and decorative ceramics on the wheel and by hand-building. Basic construction skills are taught, as well as glazing and firing. Bring a towel to class. All materials

Open Ceramic Studio
A follow-up to Beginning Ceramics, the studio sessions allow participants to learn new concepts through weekly demonstrations and perfecting basic skills and techniques with individual instruction. Participants must have taken Beginning Ceramics. All materials (up to 25 lbs. of clay) and firing charges included in class fee.

Tea Sets & Trivets - Tea anyone? This class will focus solely on teapots, cups & saucers, and trivets. Build your own functional tea sets and carve your own design into a trivet, then learn how to glaze and fire them. Methods of wheel and handbuilding will be used, so those with and without experience are welcome.
