Lancaster County Young Artists Exhibition
Lancaster Museum of Art, The Demuth Museum, & Mulberry Art Studios

March 5 - 28, 2010

The Lancaster Museum of Art, The Demuth Museum and Mulberry Art Studios will host the 2010 Lancaster County Young Artists Exhibition March 5 - 28.

The exhibition fosters creativity in the visual arts among Lancaster County's youth and is open to all Lancaster County students in grades 7 - 12. Student works in all media are submitted through their art teachers and then judged by three panels of professional artists and educators. Last year approximately 4,000 entries were received, from which an exhibition of 1,000 works was selected.

This exhibition provides an opportunity for young people to gain recognition and compete for scholarship funds. Formerly known as the Scholastic Art Awards, this regional exhibition was initiated in 1963 through the efforts of the late Ms. Pauline Stauffer.

Works will be on view at three separate locations:
* Lancaster Museum of Art will feature Jr. & Sr. High Gold and Special Awards and Scholarships.
* The Demuth Museum will feature Jr. High Silver and 2D Awards.
* Mulberry Art Studios will feature Sr. High Silver and Exhibit Awards.
